Jemma Swales

I am an independent autism practitioner who has been working in Cumbria with families and individuals on the spectrum since 2011. Prior to this I completed a degree in Psychology and a post graduate certificate in ASC and work at a day service in London for adults with autism and as a transition coordinator for Hertfordshire County Council supporting families with the transition from children's services to adult. I am trained in areas covering: Neuro lingusitic Programming, epilepsy management, Makaton, TEACCH, SKIP and Intensive Interaction and has an enhanced CRB check. You can find more about me at www.jsautismservices.co.uk.

Suzanne Steele

I am married to Andrew and I have two great boys, Phil and Joseph who has high functioning autism and complex needs. Since Joseph was diagnosed at the age of 4 years old I have spent years attending conferences and courses locally and around the country to try to expand my knowledge. I have a certificate from Birmingham university in autistic spectrum conditions and I love helping out at the Aspergers youth club. I am involved in developing Autus because I believe there is a need for a unique service with people who truly understand the needs of autistic individuals.

Donna Munro

As a parent of a child with an Autism Spectrum Condition I realized early on that I was going to have to take the lead in figuring out what was going on and organizing appropriate help. Since then I have read countless books, gone to conferences, talked to professionals and helped to organize activities and events that have made a positive difference in our lives. I believe that parents and professionals need to work together to help children with autism develop and reach their full potential. I became involved in setting up Autus because I think Autus can make a positive contribution to the lives of autistic young people in a friendly, approachable and professional manner.

Pauline Graham

I am the mother to three amazing daughters, Eleanor, Charlotte and Mary-Beth. My youngest daughter Mary-Beth is now a young adult. She was diagnosed with Kabuki Syndrome when she was 8 years old. She has profound learning and communication difficulties and associated atypical autism. I would like to share my life experiences of having a child with autism, coping with the inevitable daily challenges that autism and associated disabilities bring. I hope that with over 17 years experience of managing a private health care setting I can also bring my experience and passion for building a strong future for all our young people with autism.
